Blanchard partnered with The Jordan Company to create Jordan-Blanchard Capital, LLC in August of 2011 and serves as chairman on the company’s board of advisors. Prior to creating Jordan-Blanchard, Blanchard served 34 years as chairman of the board and CEO of Synovus Financial Corp., a multi-billion dollar financial services company based in Columbus, Georgia. In 1999, Synovus was selected by Fortune magazine as the #1 Best Company to Work for in America. In 2006, Blanchard formed a partnership with Columbus State University’s Cunningham Center for Leadership Development to create the Jim Blanchard Leadership Forum. The mission of the forum is to provide Columbus, and the region, the opportunity to interact with some of the most influential political, military, and business leaders in the world to create a synergy that raises both the local and national standard for leadership development. Previous speakers at the forum include: President George W. Bush, former First Lady Laura Bush, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, former U.S. Senators Sam Nunn and Zell Miller, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, author Ken Blanchard, author John Maxwell, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, General David Petraeus and former U.S. Attorney General Griffin Bell. “One of the greatest gifts I can offer to our country is an investment in leadership. She is also consultant emeritus with P•A•S Associates, an HR consulting firm she founded in 1987, and serves on a variety of Boards. An international speaker, consultant, and author, Dr. Baron has served Fortune 100 companies, world-wide denominations, and major universities including the United States Military Academy at West Point, University of Southern California, and the University of California system. Most recently he has authored “The Cross and the Towel” and his upcoming book is entitled, “The Power Puzzle: Unlocking the Code for Transformational Leadership.” Dr. Baron is ordained as an Anglican priest and Episcopal Canon.[/text_block][/op_liveeditor_element]
